Challenge
Rockers team had to create a platform that would resolve all the issues that all the existing services have:
➵ One-cross platform SDK – no complexities as experienced with legacy systems.
➵ Codecs and file formats agnostic – choose your own file format and media codec for content delivery.
➵ No OS specific complexities – designed to work with a single line of code.
➵ Hardware-based DRM – content is protected by token access and international DRM specifications.
➵ Protected transport and payload – protected with code obfuscation and validation and other anti-tampering mechanisms.
Solution
For such a big challenging project we created a team of 8 developers: PM, Solution Architect, Business Analytic, Scrum Master, QA, C++ tech leads, .NET tech lead, C++ and .NET senior engineers.
We’ve decided to have daily meetings for a clear understanding of the tasks and changes, daily and monthly reports for showing the progress and status check, and sync with the Client 2 times per week.
Nettr DRM is the solution from scratch therefore we needed to create a clear roadmap, establish the multi-dimensional team and select the proper technology set from the very beginning.
Rockers had built a very strong and trustful relationship with the Client. We’d shown how dedicated is the whole team to the project.

We continue to support the project and introduce new features. Nettr has attained zero buffering on 4G and standard home Wi-Fi connections. As 5G emerges with 1+ Gbps bandwidth, we will be equipped to deliver UHD-2 / UHD-3 in HDR, alongside cutting-edge theatrical audio technologies, and UHD-1 / HD Audio streaming in real-time without latency.
